2-Part Lock Jaw Poles:
Constructed of lightweight 6000 series seamless aluminum tubing for strength and reliability, the 2-Part Poles help you to establish a rhythm to your hike, and aid in balance. The poles are built to adjust to a maximum length of 130 centimeters. Steel flex tips and alpine powder baskets guarantee solid purchase on the snow, and the comfortable grips are contoured to different men's hand shape and size for the best in-hand feel.
9 Series Snowshoe:
The 9 Series Snowshoe uses Atlas's signature Spring-Loaded Suspension (SLS) that provides natural articulation of the foot over uneven and side hill terrain, flexing the 6061 aluminum proprietary V-frame. With each step, the SLS gives the All-Trac toe crampon deeper purchase while the new tempered steel Tri-Cleat offers 360-degree traction under your heel. The flexible Wrapp bindings tighten easily and cradle the foot securely. Even in the dead cold of winter, the Nytex decking is both flexible and durable.
9 Series Snowshoe Features:
- Spring-Loaded Suspension: Atlas's patented Spring-Loaded Suspension (SLS) both keeps the snowshoe close underfoot for easy maneuvering and suspends your foot so that it can move freely with its intended articulation. The suspension absorbs impact and lets your foot flex naturally side-to-side for a comfortable, stable position on traverses and uneven terrain. SLS enhances traction control too, as the flex provides deeper crampon penetration into the slope, especially on steep or off-angle terrain.
- V-Frames: Proprietary Atlas V-Frames are the key to an efficient, natural stride. The sturdy aluminum V shape tracks straight in deep snow, and the tapered tail pulls less snow as you step forward, saving your energy. The turned-up tail of the V-frame rolls easily into each step for a natural gait. Built with lightweight, durable 6000- and 7000-series aluminum, the V-frames are used on all Atlas snowshoes.
- Nytex: Flexible Nytex decking is forgiving and quiet when hiking in the cold, providing durability without the weight.
- Wrapp Binding: The flexible Wrapp men's and women's bindings tighten easily and cradle the foot securely.
- All-Trac Toe Crampon: The time-tested geometry of Atlas All-Trac toe crampons provides traction in all directions. Wider traction tabs on the sides and corners complement sharp front and rear points for confident hiking.
- Tri Cleat: Atlas's newest aft traction, the Tri-Cleat, provides three planes of grip for security on rolling terrain as well as a no-twist step.
