Fit-Step Frame: Designed with a slightly upturned, rounded tail, the innovative and biomechanical aluminum Fit-Step frame reduces muscular skeletal impact on the hip, knee, and ankle joints by 10 percent.
Rotating Toe Cord: Rotating Toe Cord design enables the tail of the snowshoe to drop and snow to shed off the tail, reducing cardio-respiratory strain by 7 percent. The underfoot pivot point also allows the toe traction teeth to bite deeply into the snow when weighted.
Recreational Crampon: Carbon steel toe and heel crampons feature front and rear braking teeth for a secure grip uphill, downhill, and side hill in packed snow conditions.
Quick Fit Binding: The Quick Fit binding leverages Tubbs proprietary Control Wing technology and features a trouble-free single pull system for easy adjustment to a wide array of mens and womens boot sizes and styles.
SoftTec Decking: Tubbs SoftTec decking provides durable, lightweight flotation.
Women's-Specific Design: As the first company to ever manufacture women's-specific snowshoes, Tubbs remains committed to providing women's-specific versions of every model. Tubbs women's-specific snowshoes are lighter in weight, feature ergonomically tapered frame shapes for ease of stride, and offer custom fit women's-specific bindings sized and scaled from a woman's boot in sizes 5-11.

Combining ease of use, reliable features and an affordable price, the Tubbs Xplore Women's snowshoe is the ideal entry-level snowshoe. Simple-to-use bindings, sturdy, lightweight frames and carbon steel crampons enable female hikers to get out in winter and enjoy the growing sport of snowshoeing. Tubbs was the first manufacturer to offer snowshoes designed specifically for women, introducing women's specific bindings in 1998. Anatomic and ergonomic adjustments are made to each binding to provide the female snowshoe enthusiast with the fit, comfort and performance she deserves. Accounting for the fact that, on average, women have a shorter walking stride than men, Tubbs has tapered the tail on women's specific models to be 15% narrower than the tails found on men's snowshoes, allowing female users to maintain a more natural stride. The Xplore Women's snowshoe is available in two sizes. Measuring 8" x 21", the Xplore-21 inch snowshoe is suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 80-150 pounds while the 25 inch length (8" x 25") supports a total weight of 120-200 pounds. Comfort and maneuverability are key elements of winter performance and Tubbs tackles both concerns with the design of the bindings used in their snowshoes. The Xplore Women's snowshoe utilizes the easy-to-use Tubbs Quick Fit Binding (NOTE: Be sure to engage the black rubber O-ring on the binding to ensure a snug, non-slip fit). Rigid Control Wings found on both the medial and lateral sides of the binding keep your boot centered in the harness for maximum responsiveness. Rotating flexibility in the integrated toe cord allows your boot to pivot independently of the frame of the Xplore Women's snowshoe, maximizing the penetration of the crampon in the snow base. The rotation also enables the tail to drop away from the binding as you hike, effectively shedding snow, reducing resistance and minimizing the fatigue associated with carrying the unnecessary weight of clinging snow.
