Combining ease of use, reliable features and an affordable price, the Tubbs Xplore snowshoe is the ideal entry-level snowshoe. Simple-to-use bindings, sturdy, lightweight frames and carbon steel crampons enable hikers to get out in winter and enjoy the growing sport of snowshoeing. The Xplore snowshoe is available in two sizes. Measuring 8" x 25", the Xplore-25 inch snowshoe is suitable for a total weight (user and gear) of 120-200 pounds while the 30 inch length (9" x 30") supports a total weight of 170-250 pounds. Comfort and maneuverability are key elements of winter performance and Tubbs tackles both concerns with the design of the bindings used in their snowshoes. The Xplore snowshoe utilizes the easy-to-use Tubbs Quick Fit Binding (NOTE: Be sure to engage the black rubber O-ring on the binding to ensure a snug, non-slip fit). Rigid Control Wings found on both the medial and lateral sides of the binding keep your boot centered in the harness for maximum responsiveness. Rotating flexibility in the integrated toe cord allows your boot to pivot independently of the frame of the Xplore snowshoe, maximizing the penetration of the crampon in the snow base. The rotation also enables the tail to drop away from the binding as you hike, effectively shedding snow, reducing resistance and minimizing the fatigue associated with carrying the unnecessary weight of clinging snow. The tapered frame of each Xplore snowshoe is constructed of sturdy 6000 series aluminum. The tapered tail and technical rise of the nose of the frame enhance balance and provide excellent flotation. These ergonomic features allow you to maintain your normal walking stride, increasing the maneuverability of the Xplore snowshoe. Durable, lightweight and waterproof, SoftTec Decking provides dependable flotation (NOTE: A minimum base of 6"-8" of snow is suggested for usage in order to properly protect the integrity of the decking material.). The Xplore snowshoe is outfitted with carbon steel toe and
